Strategies for achieving greatness

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. The Just Live by Faith. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2: 1-3 (NKJV).

Bible Readings: Habakkuk 3: 17,  Songs of Solomon 7: 4.

1. Stand: You can never achieve greatness seating. People that arrive at their greatness, take a stand. You must be willing to stand to get to where God wants you to be. Greatness is not achieved in a crowd but when you can stand alone. What are you standing for? If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. Make it happen by doing everything that you need to do and stand. Be willing to take a stand! If you cannot take a stand, people will stand for you.

2. Watch: People take a stand but are not watching. You must watch for the tricks/ traps of the enemy. If you don't watch out for them, you'll fall for them. Anytime you want to change, it comes with resistance. "A life not examined, is not worth living".

3. Set yourself upon a tower: You have to acquire relevant information for your destination. Read! The only thing that cannot be taken away from you is what you know. When you get on a tower, you make informed decisions. Make research, ask questions.

4. Look again

To succeed, you have to follow the principles that God has outlined not just the prayers. Instead of being the expert, be a learner!
