"And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full." - John 16:23-24
Bible Reading: Hebrews 1:4, Colossians 2:14-15, Isaiah 63:1-3, Luke 10:19, Philippians 2:9-11, Isaiah 55:11, Luke 14:13-14, John 1:1-3, Ephesians 1:3
The Name of Jesus: we talk about this name but do not know what it means. Some people know Jesus as an historical figure. In hell, they tremble at the name of Jesus but some of us talk about the name and still nothing happens.
Great names are gotten by inheritance, achievement or coronation. As God the Son, Jesus inherited a name above all other names. He achieved great things that has thus far caused the world to know his name. He achieved greatness for himself and for us by mesmerizing hell.
The name of Jesus has rights in heaven, privileges on earth and power over hell. His name shakes the foundations of hell. It changes situations.
After taking all ungodly things and nailing it to the cross, Christ took your humanity and gave you his divinity. With that, we can ask for anything in his name and it will be done. With his name, you can demand things to be. You should boldly withdraw from the bank of heaven.
Many of us are not enjoying the benefits of his name because we are disobedient or don't have a good relationship with the owner of the name or don't value the name or are losing focus (using the name in vain).
Jesus is the word. When you study and know the word, you get to know Jesus. You get to know how to understand the meaning of and power behind his name.
