Acceleration for Recovery

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it". Amos 9vs 13 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Joel 2, Deuteronomy 2: 3, Philippians 2: 5-11, 1 Corinthians 15: 33, 1 Samuel 30: 5-9.

Many people give up on certain things at this time of the year. God is reminding us that he is able to do what he says he will do and it is not too late for him to do this. Certain things have been lost. God is in the mindset of changing the situation around.

Humans beings give up easily and the hardest thing is we give up on ourselves. If you give up, there is nothing God can do. Until your faith adjust to the heart currency of God, nothing happens. God wants to move you faster than you think. He wants to give you speed. God is able to move faster than you think. As a believer you are supposed to move with supersonic speed; speed of delivery. You cannot stand still in one place if your mind travels. The lord wants to move you but you have to see God moving you. It’s time to move!

Acceleration is tied to restoration. God’s design is for him to restore the time you have wasted and lost. You have to take the first step. Get out of your comfort zone. Get out of that stagnant position. If you can take the first step, God will take the rest. It is not what you are doing that brings it, but the action of faith. There is no case that is too big for God to solve. When God wants to accelerate you, look out for these five things; Attitude, Association, Anxiety and Antagonist .

1. Attitude: your attitude matters. If you need someone to make you excited in the presence of God, then maybe you are not ready for speed. You cannot move forward if you are always offended. Offended people offend you. Shake the issue off! Once you are around bleeding people, you get the blood. Cut off from people that are always offended. Once you carry bitterness, you can’t travel far.

2. Association: the people around you determine how far or slow you go in life. It’s better to travel alone and get to your destination than go with the crowd that go nowhere. Who are the people around you? Be careful of the people around you. Who speaks to you? The worst thing in life is for you to be going through something and being with people that are going through the same thing. Your net worth is determined by your network. Don’t go where you are tolerated, go to where you are celebrated. Don’t associate with people from where you were, associate with people for where you are going.

What is happening around you can’t stop God from accelerating you, it is what is in you.
