The power of the right image

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Clothe me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews?" Job 10: 11 (NKJV)

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 16: 7, Romans 12: 2, Psalms 139: 13-16, Galatians 2: 20.

Self esteem comes out of self image. People are not word based but world based. The world has brought an image of what you should look like and people now respond to the world not the word. The world has painted how images should be and we are trying to fit into it.

Until the inside is fixed, the outside is nothing. The challenge is that it is not what you have outside that determines who you are but what you have inside. Self image is based on the opinion of people around you. You categorize success based on the world’s esteem which has affected your self esteem and your self image. The world wants you to look like everyone so you disvalue yourself. You try to be accepted by them by going away from God.

Why are you trying to fit into what everybody said when you are unique? You are different! People’s opinion should determine how you feel. The one who created you has said that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You can’t achieve greatness if the perception of yourself is wrong.

Be free! Be yourself! Be real.
