"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it." 1Corinthians 9: 24 (NKJV)
Bible Readings: 1Corinthians 9: 24-27, Hebrews 12: 1,
As humans, we are excited to start but God is more excited to finish.
The obstacles you go through in life are like hurdles. It doesn’t mean you won’t get more. It just means you are closer to finishing. It is not who gets there first that counts it is who is running according to the qualification of the race. It is not how you start that matters, it is how you finish.
To be able to run the race, you have to put down the weights like; anxiety, fear, thoughts. When was the last time you went down on your knees to just thank God without asking for anything? God has a need, he wants you to worship him. Why do you show up grumpy to God? Many finish very weak, many end the year very weak and they expect a better next year but it doesn’t work that way. You need to finish strong. You need an attitude of gratitude. You have to be thankful.
Do not be distracted by people ahead of you in the race, you are a star, do not compare your race with others. To finish strong, you need to be thankful. Life will always throw something your way but you will overcome it. You finish strong by understanding that God has been faithful, knowing you have life by grace, by faith & by being grateful. The world doesn’t reward complainers, it rewards champions. God can give you back what you thought you have lost through grace.
Focus on yourself. Focus on the race. Forget about the distractions. Learn to persevere.
