Strategies for success: Take action

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighbouring places in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates." Deuteronomy 1: 6-7 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Deuteronomy 2: 3, Psalms 100: 2, Psalms 23: 5, John 5, John 9: 4, 2 Thessalonians 3: 10, Psalms 22: 29, John 6: 12.

Man finds himself going around in circles. You are doing the same thing ove and over again. We begin to rely on fate (luck). Success is intentional. You keep going in circles and you don't make any advancement. Going by this your activity does not match your allocation. As long as you keep going in circles you get no where. Are you getting the results you should get? What you get by luck, disappears luckily.

Roaming is wandering aimlessly with no focus. It is doing something and having no focus. Is your routine leading you to good success? A day is all that matters. You can tell where a person will end up by their way of life, the choices they make and the friends they keep. Success is a choice and poverty is also a choice. You can't make horrible choices and expect a miracle. Only a fool does the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

A breakthrough cannot occur when you refuse to break away. Success is all about sacrifice. Activity doesn't equal action. Sweating doesn't make you successful. Stop giving flimsy excuses. All you need is God on your side. Taking action without making progress doesn't lead you to your destination. How is what you are doing right now, moving you to your goal? Where are you headed?

Stop going around and start going forward. Stop procrastinating. Stop living a pitiable life. Success is not in talking. Many people say they are waiting on God whereas, God is waiting for them. After you have done all, stand.

Stop talking about what you want to do and take acton on what you are called to do!
