"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls." Hebrews 12: 1-3 (NKJV)
Bible Readings: Luke 22, Hebrews 11, Luke 24, Matthew 18: 7, Matthew 14, Luke 18: 8, Job 22: 21.
People that are distracted are people that don't achieve anything in life. People miss the presence because they lose focus. What's stops us from receiving is the lack of focus not the lack of faith. Stop looking at each other because your race is not the same. Focus on your own race!
One thing this generation lacks is endurance. Everyone is in a race but not everyone finishes the race. The key to finishing the race is endurance. In order to finish you must look at the people before you. A person running a race who is distracted never reaches the finish line. It's not everyone that started that finished, Your faith is going to stand the test of time, so you need to focus rather than lose sight.
The reason why you haven't received answers to your prayers is not because God hasn't released it but because you are being distracted.
These are some of the things that distract us: Malice, Bitterness, Cliques, Jealousy, Pornography, Sex, Language and Smelling character. The reason why things have not been happening for you is because the enemy has creeped it. You think you are running but really you are standing still. The person you can only deceive is yourself.
Every race has a condition. The moment you run a race, if you fail to meet the conditions, you are no longer qualified to finish it. You can't get the result if you have already failed at the race of life or being disqualified.
Do you have what it takes to run this race of Christianity?
