Empowering emerging entrepreneur: Finding your core

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it." Genesis 2: 15 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Genesis 3: 9, Genesis 2: 5, Luke 19.

God created everyone for a specific reason. Everything has a rhythm. To understand the rhythm, you go to the core.

Entrepreneurship is doing what you are called to do judiciously. Locate why you exist and to it well and in the right way. God created you as an entrepreneur from the foundation of the earth. You may not be living the life you are called to live because you have not yet discovered what you are meant to do. Entrepreneurship doesn't necessarily mean you have to go and open a store.

Adam was the first entrepreneur. What garden did God place you in? That something you can do even when you are woken up from sleep without resistance, that is your garden of Eden. The garden is where God gave you. What is it that you can do, and how much has it brought you?

Some of you have been misplaced because you haven't gone down to find out who you really are. God placed a seed of greatness in you. If you find your core, it has the ability to replicate itself and manifest into something big. The seed has the potential in it but you must be able to locate the seed and to locate the seed, you must cut through. To understand who you are, you must get through the core and cut through. Cutting through is painful and bloody. To be who God wants you to be, you must cut through some hindrances. Don't be afraid of death, it's actually what motivates you to live. God has put an idea in you and he has placed you in charge of it and expects you to work it out.

Where are you? The question is not with regards to your faith but in regards to what God has called you to do and what he has entrusted into your care. People don't do what they are supposed to do, because they don't want people to talk negatively about them. Find the rhythm that you belong to. What God gave you, is it hitting the soil of destiny to reap? Or have you been wasting what he has given you?
