Soaring to greater heights: Introduction. (Part 2)

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40: 31 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Deuteronomy 32: 8-14, Hebrews 12: 1-2, Ephesians 2: 6, Hebrews 1: 21, Numbers 23: 8, Genesis 49.

Life gives us choices. We choose what we want. Anytime you have a strange god, you cut down your life. Strange gods cut your destiny short. Before you look up to Jesus you have to remove the strange things. Those strange gods are weights that needs to be cut off. When you have strange gods it means you love it more than God. Everything about you should be more about God not the issue. What is a god in your life? What gods do you carry? Could your god be anger? The strange god's might be something near you, your character, something you give attention to.

Avoid distractions. Strange god's distract you when you don't deal with it. It is dangerous to be distracted when you are on the sky. You can't attract what you don't celebrate. To go up, you have to lay aside these strange things. God has a way to recompense you to catch up on your blessings. Never feel like time is passing you by; the owner of time is your creator.

When there was no strange gods, God would lead you to the top of the mountain and the sky. You must pass through the cloud. The crowd level distracts, its the cloud level that takes us to our destiny. If you look up you go up and of you look down you go down. Not everyone in the crowd loves you. Stop allowing people to limit you. The reason you are limited in your flight is because you are looking around you. You have to look up. When you look up, you are focused.

You go through a turbulence because in the flight of life even though you are cruising, there are winds that come against you. What will destroy you has no been created. As long as God is your creator, that flight cannot come down.

All you need to do is be still and know that he is God. What you are worried about has a capacity to destroy you.
