Making a case for a Fresh Anointing

By Reverend George Adegboye

"Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net." - Psalms 25:8-15

Bible Readings: Isaiah 2:3, 2 Corinthians 4:18, Psalm 82:5-6, Genesis 2:8, 1 John 2:20, 1 John 2:27, 1 Corinthians 5:21, Psalm 132:7, Psalm 105: 14-15, John 4: 13-14; 14:12; 17:18, Acts 1:8; 10:38, Reverend 5:5-6, 1 Peter 2:9, Psalm 144:2-3, 1 Kings 19, Ephesians 5:30, Psalm 133:1-3, Joel 2:28, Philippians 4:19, James 1:25, Ecclesiastes 9:8, Titus 3:5, Isaiah 41:1, Romans 6:4; 8:11, Revelation 21:5

The word of God tells us the truth about GOD and ourselves. Many Christians don't know who they are. That isn't God's plan for us. He wants to reveal the truth to us. He wants us to know the truth about others, the devil and our situations.

He wants to enlighten us on various topics such as tithes, decision making and anointing. The ignorant man suffers so it is important to know the truth. This is what God's word offers us. The truth in His word gives us the knowledge to be anointed.

Whether you speak in tongues or not, as a christian, you are anointed. Being anointed is part of God's plan for his people. His word says we are anointed. We can't follow in Christ's footstep unless we are anointed.

Anointing means to pour out, upon and over in a copious manner.  It is an outpouring of the spirit. It renews your spirit-man. It preserves and maintains your spiritual life, accelerates growth in several areas of your life, facilitates better fellowships with God and other believers, strengthens you in your service to God, and gives you a fresh experience.

Only you can make that decision to partake in God's fresh anointing. You must be thirsty for it, focus on God and willingly submit to Him.

The Final Word

By Reverend George Adegboye

"Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel with this special blessing: ‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’ Whenever Aaron and his sons bless the people of Israel in my name, I myself will bless them.”" - Numbers 6:22-27

The secret of prayers is to pray in secret! Pray with a strong belief in God. Receive and believe in God's word. He can only perform what you believe.

As a believer, there are seven important areas of our life - your spiritual life (ministry, calling and service to God), physical life (health and fitness), emotional life (emotional tendencies such as fear, jealousy, anger, hatred), relationships (the condition or state of being connected, related to or being involved with someone else other than yourself), mental life, financial life (note: money is a good messenger but a bad master) and your career.

These seven areas of your life are very important and define your existence. As believers, we must flourish in these areas. We should seek God's blessings and Final Word in these areas

To be blessed, you must bless others. To be blessed means having more of God and less of yourself, enjoying supreme happiness, enjoying the warmth of God's good pleasure, being empowered to prosper and being connected to God's limitless source,

Being blessed means you are a walking evidence of the work of God. He wants to bless you. He wants to show you his goodness, kindness, love and appreciation. He wants to you to get the attention of the unsaved world. He wants your life to lay a good foundation for generations to come.

God blesses you when you associate with people who are blessed or conduct yourself properly before him or when you simply ask. There are some blessings that won't come till you ask God. God's blessings distinguishes you, accelerate your destiny and bring favorable outcomes.

Do all you can to get all you can.
Do all you can to save what you can.
Do all you can to invest what you can.
Do all you can to give to the right place.

The Word of God can be studied in seven different ways:

    ⁃    Word Study
    ⁃    Verse Study
    ⁃    Paragraph Study
    ⁃    Book Study
    ⁃    Chapter Study
⁃    Topical study: Focuses on specific topics in the Bible such as Tithe, first fruit, deliverance, etc.
⁃    Biographical study: Focuses on specific personalities in the Bible such as Joshua, Cain, etc.

Many people don't know how to live. Existence is not living, living is the quality of existence. There is a certain way God has designed for us to live.

Jesus' life is a window to how God wants us to live. He came to the earth show us the kind of life He wants us to live. God wants us to live the kind of life that will attract His blessings. Our state of being is what attracts the blessings of God.

How are you living your life? If you keep living the wrong way, you will keep getting the wrong results. For a change of result, live differently. You should live the way Jesus lived. Your faith should be a way of life not a religion.

Live:

  • By the the word of God: Let God's Word be the manual of your life.
  • By seeking God continually: God's personality attracts the best of the best. You must be living life the best way He wants you to attract his blessings.  The life you live must be the life God wants.

Are you living life to the fullest? The country you are live in doesn't determine the quality of your life. The extent to which you know God and your connection to heaven determines the quality of your life.

Remember that you cannot allow the forces of the world dictate how you live your life. When you live the way you ought to, you live a healthy life. Raise the standard of your living from your idea to God's idea.

You must live a life without:

  • Condemnation: Let your faith in your salvation work for you. Christ died for you and has saved you. You are not condemned.
  • Domination: You have been set free. The word of God has set you free, do not let ignorance enslave you. As a child of God, there is no power, force, principality, or situation that has control over your life.
  • Desperation: Don't live hopelessly. It is not over until it is over and it is not over yet. When you give up, you are saying there is no God.  Don't ever give up. When your energy as a man finishes, that's when God steps in. You have not heard the last about of your situation until God speaks over it.
  • Miscalculation: God never makes a mistake. He takes the mistakes you make and fits them into His plan for us.  Anything God allows in your life will eventually work out for your good. Even when you make mistakes, tell God to turn it around. Don't let one mistake make you feel like you are done for. Don't live a life of despair.
  • Intimidation: There is no reason to fear because God is always on your side. Don't live a life of fear. Live boldly.
  • Limitation: You determine how far you will go. Don't limit yourself by making small plans or aspirations. When you see how big God is, you will realize that limiting him is a sin. As you desire, God builds. Live without limitation
  • Separation:  Don't let anything separate you from God. God does not just order our steps but also our stops; that means you must build a close relationship with Him such He is in complete control of your life.

God loves you. He wants you to live the life he has designed for you. He wants you to be elevated.

Elevation: Focus

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world." - Deuteronomy 28:1

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 2:8, 3 John 1:2, Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 22:29, 2 Peter 1, Hebrew 6:11, James 1:17, Mark 4:23

Starting a task isn't as important as actually finishing it. Even if you face challenges on the way, you must muster the strength and courage to keep going. Like John Maxwell said, "even when you fail, you should fail forward"

God's plan for you is not to be beneath but to be above only. As a child of God, you should always experience elevation. That is God's purpose for you: to exceed expectations and finish the work for which he created you.

Nevertheless, you must commit yourself to three specific requirements from God. You must be diligent, focused and obedient to God.

Diligence: To get to the top, you must be very diligent with your tasks. When you find your purpose and calling, pursue it persistently and patiently.

Focus: The key to your elevation is more than working hard, you must remain focused.  When you are focused; you will not be easily distracted, discouraged or delayed.

Obedience: There is a blessing in being obedient. Being blessed means you are elevated and taken to a higher level. God cherishes those who obey him swiftly.

Remember it is not the color but the content of the balloon that determines how high it goes. Your content determines the extent of your elevation. What you do and how you do it determines your elevation.
