Show me your glory

Rev Victor Adeyemi

"And he said, “Please, show me Your glory." Exodus 33: 18 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Exodus 33: 11-33, John 1: 1-4, John 1: 14, Philippians 2, John 17: 4-5, Romans 1: 4, Romans 6: 4, Exodus 34: 5-6, Hebrews 4: 16, Isaiah 6, Romans 8: 1, Romans 10: 12, Psalms 84: 11, James 1: 4, Proverbs 30: 5, Psalms 119: 89, Romans 5: 5, 2 Corinthians 4: 6, 2 Corinthians 3: 18, Proverbs 23: 7, John 2: 11, John 11: 40, Isaiah 60: 1-6, Haggai 2: 6-8.

Glory means splendour, majesty. It is the display of somebody’s worth or value. Nobody can measure God’s worth. In God becoming flesh, he laid aside the fullness of his glory behind in heaven. Every time God appeared to Moses, he appeared in measured glory. Ask for another level of favour. “I will be satisfied with the dissatisfaction that needs to be satisfied over and over again.” Ever since the fall of man, man has failed to have the capacity of God in his full glory. The glory of God is powerful. When you see the way God is, he is an embodiment of goodness. God has been misrepresented to us. If you can know him the way he is, you will realize he is goodness personified.

The attribute of God:

⁃ God is Merciful; he is one that withholds judgement from those who deserve it. Merciful and gracious are two sides in a coin. You can’t have one and not the other.

⁃ God is gracious; Grace grants goodness or favour to those who don’t deserve it. The work of redemption is an act of his mercy and demon.

⁃ God is long suffering; it is the quality that bears with the things that you are not comfortable with.

⁃ God is abundant in goodness & truth; I.e. kindness, generosity, faithfulness.

Iniquity: is tendency towards sin. Trans-generational; Transgressions: every time you break a law, you have transgressed; Sin: to miss the mark; to fall short of standard.

When God’s merciful and goodness is rejected, he would not clear those guilty of iniquity. He punishes those who reject his mercy. When God is in judgement, he is because of his mercy.

Whenever God manifests his glory, there will be;

1. Revelation; God reveals himself. Revelation is key to transformation. Revelation changes your self image and as that changes, your reality changes. The thoughts that dominate your mind, will become your reality.

2. Miracles; Miracles reveals God’s power.

3. Prosperity;

In his presence without a word

"Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little." Luke 7: 47 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Luke 7: 36-50, Matthew 26: 6-13, John 12: 1-7, Matthew 36: 13, Acts 10: 4

There are principles that if we follow and abide by, will secure our future and our generations to come.

⁃ You must learn to seize opportunities. Learn to capitalize on other people's opportunities.

⁃ You must present yourself holy unto the lord as a living sacrifice. God is more interested in you than your sacrifice. Your outward expression has to project what your inward spirit yearns for.

⁃ You must worship. True worship is not "notice-me". A true worshippers doesn't care what their neighbours are saying about them.

⁃ You must sow sacrificially. Your giving delivers you from poverty. Your seed never dies. Acts 10vs 5. You must have the right attitude. Your attitude should be a difference maker.

⁃ You must have a set goal.

⁃ You must be resolute and firm in your decisions.

⁃ You must be dedicated to achieve your set goals. Don't allow people's criticism get to you. Don't be distracted.

⁃ You must allow room for God to answer for you.

It is okay to be in the presence of God without a word and he would still answer. Don't mock God's creation. Pray for them. If you mock them, you are mocking God. Don't answer your critics, it is a waste of time. Channel that time to your maker. Introduce Jesus into the souls that do not know him.

God, in my dry places

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds." Numbers 17: 8 (NKJV).

Bible Readings: 1 Kings 17, Ezekiel 37: 11, 2 Kings 6, Psalms 29: 10, Isaiah 40.

Dryness is a reality that comes in life. Everybody goes through a dry phase. You may be going through your dryness because it's a season. What happens when your life is experiencing dryness? When you go through dryness, you can do anything.

The worse part is experiencing dryness without God. The season of dryness is not the issue, it is what you are doing during that period and those that are around you. People cause dryness so if you are with those type of people, you will experience dryness. Who do you run to when things are dry? If God is in that dry situation, it will cause it to become wet. If God is in it, there is grace. If God can be in the centre of your heart, even though the situation seem dry, God can change it overnight. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

- Every time dryness is there, find out if God is with you.

- If you are in tune with God, prophecy into that dryness/ situation.

If you allow God step in, dryness disappears. When you are walking without direction, it causes dryness.

Everywhere you go in life, you need godly character. Character is a personality, so a man cannot be differentiated from his character.

God's nature is in us and he wants us to portray him. Your character is key. If you lack a godly character, all your years of Christianity is wasted. A mans beauty in life is a function of his or her character. Your character can be perceived. The totality of man is his character. The character of a leader is the function of how the people under the leader will behave. Character is a lifestyle and not a reputation. Godly character is a possibility. Sometimes God wants to fill the gap in our lives with character for where he is about to take you to. Character matters!

Character development is enhancement of godly nature embedded in a believer by new birth and the Holy Spirit.

Component of character;

⁃ Thoughts: to change your situation, change the way you think and your thinking pattern.

⁃ Imaginations: the ability to create your mental picture in your mind.

⁃ Attitude: mass deposition or tendency. It is something in the inside that find characters out.

⁃ Action: expression of your character. Your character and you are inseparable!

Character is not a gift, it is only rooted in the word of God. You have to work character out, it is not a gift. You know a godly character by the motive of the heart.

Importance of character development;

⁃ To possibly show believers as the light of the world.

⁃ Help believers grow and become more like God.

⁃ To display believers as a letter for the world to read.

⁃ To enhance the flow of God's power in believers.

Ungodly character to avoid;

⁃ Dishonesty: insincerity and false hood. It destroys people's trust in you.

⁃ Slandering: utterance of false image of someone to make them look bad, can causes you to loose respect amongst people.

⁃ Deceit: presenting a lie as the truth.

⁃ Cheating: taking what doesn't belong to you by force. You will eventually loose all you have.

⁃ Lust: lusting after worldly things separates you from God.

⁃ Pride: over estimation of self which in turn causes lack of disrespect of others.

⁃ Covetousness: wanting what others have will destroy your destiny. To overcome, you have to be content.

Weapons to overcome include; The word of God, The name of Jesus, The Holy Spirit and The blood of Jesus.

Qualities of a godly character are; Honesty, Integrity, Servanthood, Humility, meekness and Diligence.

It's time for my recompense by the blood

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." Exodus 12: 12-13 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Haggai 2: 9, John 14: 26, Acts 2: 1-4, Acts 4: 31.

There is a judgement coming upon every Egyptian that has made you a slave in the spirit realm. Until their first born is gone, they will not know the God you serve. There is a time for you to borrow because God wants to pay you back.

When God wants to bless you, he makes sure that the people that used and dumped you will be the same people that God will use to lift you up.

    ⁃    Father in the name of Jesus, I declare right now let the angel of judgement go and judge every Egyptian that has held me captive.
    ⁃    Father, every Egyptian, every pharaoh, beast of the land that have made me into a slave, let the angel of death visit them now.
    ⁃    Every pharaoh, Egyptian, and gods of the land that has taken your blessings from you, let the angel of judgement visit them now.
    ⁃    Lord before day break, let your angel visit every tormentors that have been tormenting my life & my family.
    ⁃    Every tormentors of NGWC, before daybreak, I command the angel of judgement to visit them.
    ⁃    Every beast, god, pharaoh against NGWC wherever they are, let the fire of Holy Ghost fall on them now.
    ⁃    Every force of hell, gates of hell that has been sponsored to go against NGWC, father let the angel that judges come now and bring instant judgement.
    ⁃    In the name of Jesus, every satanic chains that the enemy has used to tie me, NGWC from progressing, taking off, becoming greater, father whoever is the sponsor or perpetrator, let the sword cut the chain off and visit their first born.
