Harvest

Faith for recovery (Faith for Harvest)

By Pastor Matthew Kassim

"So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30: 8 (NKJV)

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 30: 1-8, 1 Samuel 30: 16-20.

Maybe you have left your life unguarded and that is why the devil has been able to get into your finances, spiritual life etc. The sleeping moment of your life, is the weakest part. The process of the sleep is when you leave your house unguarded( spiritually, finances etc).

If you can see in the spirit realm, you can harvest it in the natural. If the situation you are going through has not touch you, then it can't touch God. When you pray, you are giving God permission to come and do what you want him to do. If your mind can shift then they will be turning around in your life.

If your mind can shift to where God wants it, there will be a turning around in that thing. Except there is a shift in your mindset, nothing changes. I

f it's time for harvest, it is time for a separation.

Financial Harvest 2: Money

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done marvelous things! Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, And the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you."- Joel 2: 21-25 (NKJV)

Bible Reading: Galatians 3:29, Romans 4, John 6:12, 1 Kings 3:4, John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 9:7

If you idolize money over Christ, you will run into crisis. That being said, you need money in Christ to be secured. If we belong to Christ, we are Abraham's children and therefore adhere to the blessings of Abraham.

Money has a voice! God's design for you is to be wealthy but your mindset is making you poor because whatever you hate, you do not attract. The reason why many people don't have money is not because God is not ready to pour out but because you are missing something.

You have to be a channel of his blessings. As a channel, you are God's funnel of love to others. Be a good steward of the money God gives you ny giving to others.

Remember, there are important principles that you must follow to get God's blessings. Abraham understood and followed these principles. He gave, tithed, was hospitable, led a righteous life, was obedient to God, interceded for others, learnt to forgive and believed in God wholeheartedly. You too must follow these principles to be blessed.

When you give, give with all your heart. Give out of love. The test of true love is how much you can spend on the one you love. When you give without loving, you won't be blessed. Give generously.

It is more than just giving money or making a sacrifice, it is about the state of your heart.

Provoking the harvest 2

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, and lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; you will remove iniquity far from your tents. Then you will lay your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. Yes, the Almighty will be your gold[a]and your precious silver; for then you will have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person. He will even deliver one who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands." - Job 22: 22-30 (NJKV)

Bible Passages: Hebrews 7: 1-9, Malachi 3: 8-12, Deuteronomy 28: 1, Joshua 6: 17-19, Matt 23: 23, Genesis 3: 2-4, Leviticus 27: 30-32, Malachi 3: 19, Genesis 31: 24, 29, Genesis 28: 20-22, Genesis 33: 4, Haggai 2: 8-9, 2 Corinthians 9: 6-8, Genesis 31: 9, Genesis 32: 31-35.

Obedience to God is the number one thing that provokes your harvest. Obedience begat prosperity.

The next thing is to give. You must be willing to give a portion of your blessing as an offering.  If you want to continue to receive, you must give.

The first stage of giving is tithing. If you do not give tithes, things will be tight for you. When you tithe, you give back to Jesus. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Tithing is giving God 10% of what He gives you. Tithing has been in existence before the law [i.e. the old testament], during the law and during grace. God wants you to give him 10% so that He can bless the remaining 90%. Tithing is part of your spiritual duty.

When you give God your tithe, He pours out blessings on you, preserves you, your harvest and your seeds, protects and guarantees your possessions and reveals to you His plans to provide you.

Financial Harvest

Fear is one of the biggest challenges we face in our society today. The spirit of fear has caused many to behave irrationally but God wants us to fear not. He does not want us to be afraid and worried. For this reason, he blesses us.

We need the blessings of God to spread the gospel. To make strides as a church, money is needed. God has promised we will not lack and we should live in that promise. It is a promise of financial harvest. God is the true source of your income. He adds value to your life.

For believers, we can rest in the promise of a financial harvest. No matter how depressed and fearful our societies may be, we are safe and covered in Christ. If you are not in Christ, you are in crisis.

There is a threshing floor where your harvest has been prepared. It is full of wheat, wine and oil. Wheat stands for wealth, wine stands for healing to your soul and oil stands for the Holy Ghost. To receive your finanical harvest, you must go to your threshing floor.

Your threshing floor is in the presence of God.

Provoking Your Harvest

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." - John 4:35

Bible Reading: Exodus 23:16, Leviticus 23: 9-14, Deuteronomy 8:8; 11:10-11; 16:13-15, Matthew 13:4, Genesis 26:1-6, 12-14, John 2:5, 1 Samuel 15:22.

To provoke is to stir up, to stimulate, to give rise or induce or to bring about. You provoke your harvest by "calling those things which are not as though they were." (Romans 4:17)

There are certain things you need to do to provoke your harvest. You must understand and follow the principles of harvest:

  1. Whatever you sow, you shall reap, don't expect to reap what you did not sow.

  2. You reap in the same kind as you had sown.

  3. You reap in a different season from the one you had sown in.

  4. You reap more than you sow.

  5. You reap according to the proportion you have sown.

  6. You reap full harvests: There is no such thing as a partial harvest but the kind of seed you sow determines the kind of harvest you will have.

  7. You cannot do anything about last year's harvest.

Famine is a time of lack, scarcity and drought. Isaac lived in a time of famine, yet he experienced harvest. He knew, understood and followed the principles of harvest.

To provoke your harvest, you must be obedient and move by faith. Total and complete obedience to God results in speedy harvest. The heavens open up to you when you obey God wholeheartedly.

You must act and move by faith. God is not a debtor, he wants to move you forward but you must be willing to be obedient and move when he needs you to.

You may be experiencing stagnancy in an area of your life because of your disobedience or partial obedience. A delayed obedience is disobedience.

If you want to provoke your harvest, obey God.

And I returned

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not laboured; others have laboured, and you have entered into their labours.” John 4: 35-38 (NKJV)

 Bible Readings: Ruth 1: 22; 2, Genesis 8: 32, Leviticus 26: 10

From the beginning of time, a harvest has been prepared for you. Some people say they do not have anything to be thankful for but that is because they do not understand what harvest means. For every season of your life, there is a harvest. Whatever you sow, you shall reap.

In our bible reading, Ruth returned to Bethlehem despite the fact that she had never been there. Where you are is not where you ought to be, you have to return to your Bethlehem. To return is to reestablish yourself.

You can tell by your circumstances that you don't belong where you are. Maybe there is a delay in your journey to where you are ought to be. You will get there, in Jesus' name.

God will have to separate you from some people and relationships before you can return to your Bethlehem. He wants you to be around the right people, having the right conversations. Your conversations lead you to your destination. Don't feel sorry when people leave you, God is using that separation to usher you into your destiny.

In your story, you represent Ruth, angels are the servants that served Boaz and Jesus is Boaz. So when you arrive at your Bethlehem, things must fall into place for you like they did for Ruth.

When she arrived in Bethlehem, Ruth labored tirelessly in Boaz's field, and that turned her story to glory. So why not labor in the place of worship, prayer and praise so you can reap bountifully? You must first labor spiritually to reap physically.

Designed for Harvest

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest." - Ruth 1:22 (NKJV)

Bible Passage: Leviticus 26:10, Genesis 8:22, Exodus 23:16. Deuteronomy 8:8, Matthew 25, Psalms 65:3-6,  2 Corinthians 9:6, John 12:24,

Everything you see is a harvest. Every creation began as a seed, and every seed has the capacity to produce a harvest.

A harvest is a complete product. There are four harvests in a calendar year and the last one (for the last three months) is the harvest of olives. Olives produce oil, and in the spiritual realm, that indicates an anointing that comes from the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost plays a key role in the Pentecost (which stands for harvest).

Everything you see is a result of a seed you have sown. If you want to see something different, sow a different seed. If you want to change the direction of your life, you must change the seed you sow, and you should sow with an expectation.

Nothing is created to remain the way it is. If something remains static, then there is a problem with the seed. Whatever you set in motion is a seed and it will germinate.

Sow what you want to see. If you want to be rich, give. If you want to be poor, grasp. If you want to be in abundance, scatter. If you want to be needy, hoard. If you eat your seed, you eat your harvest. The seed you sow today is the harvest you reap tomorrow.

Until you sow your seed, do not expect an harvest. Until something leaves earth, nothing leaves heaven.

Revival Fire

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4 (NKJV)

Bible Passages: Romans 12:11, Act 4:34, Philippians 3:10, Exodus 33, Deuteronomy 9:3, Matt 17, Joel 2.

The first revival started on the day of Pentecost; which means harvest in Hebrew. On that day, the disciples and believers were in one accord and the Holy Ghost came down.

Revival refers to the renewal of that which is dead. It is synonymous with fire as it is contagious and intangible. Genuine revival is not materialistic; it occurs when your soul is on fire for God, you begin to speak in tongues, miracles happen, the church experiences growth and fruitfulness.

Revival connects man back to God. It rejuvenates our spirits and we cry out to God to heal our cities, societies and nations; but it comes with a price - one many aren't willing to pay.

Poor leadership and lack of fervent prayers are killing the revival fire. We must be dissatisfied with the status quo, we must yearn for God and to be intimate with him. We must spark that fire and let it spread. The revival of fire represents spiritual intensity, so we must let it burn.

God doesn't need a congregation or crowd to start a revival, He just needs one man. A man who isn't comfortable with the word of God being sidelined. A man who is ready to make a statement for God. A man who is ready to be a stove for the Holy Ghost fire.

The fire of revival keeps you wanting more of God and his word. Will you be that person who will spark the revival fire in your family, neighborhood, city and nation?
