Making a case for a Fresh Anointing

By Reverend George Adegboye

"Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net." - Psalms 25:8-15

Bible Readings: Isaiah 2:3, 2 Corinthians 4:18, Psalm 82:5-6, Genesis 2:8, 1 John 2:20, 1 John 2:27, 1 Corinthians 5:21, Psalm 132:7, Psalm 105: 14-15, John 4: 13-14; 14:12; 17:18, Acts 1:8; 10:38, Reverend 5:5-6, 1 Peter 2:9, Psalm 144:2-3, 1 Kings 19, Ephesians 5:30, Psalm 133:1-3, Joel 2:28, Philippians 4:19, James 1:25, Ecclesiastes 9:8, Titus 3:5, Isaiah 41:1, Romans 6:4; 8:11, Revelation 21:5

The word of God tells us the truth about GOD and ourselves. Many Christians don't know who they are. That isn't God's plan for us. He wants to reveal the truth to us. He wants us to know the truth about others, the devil and our situations.

He wants to enlighten us on various topics such as tithes, decision making and anointing. The ignorant man suffers so it is important to know the truth. This is what God's word offers us. The truth in His word gives us the knowledge to be anointed.

Whether you speak in tongues or not, as a christian, you are anointed. Being anointed is part of God's plan for his people. His word says we are anointed. We can't follow in Christ's footstep unless we are anointed.

Anointing means to pour out, upon and over in a copious manner.  It is an outpouring of the spirit. It renews your spirit-man. It preserves and maintains your spiritual life, accelerates growth in several areas of your life, facilitates better fellowships with God and other believers, strengthens you in your service to God, and gives you a fresh experience.

Only you can make that decision to partake in God's fresh anointing. You must be thirsty for it, focus on God and willingly submit to Him.

New Identity

By Pastor Drew Ugbogbo

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." - John 3:6 (KJV)

Bible Reading: John 4:24, John 1:12-13, 1Peter 1:23, 1John 4:4, 1John 5:4, Colossians 2:11-15

A lot of believers struggle because they don't know who they are in Christ. Ignorance is a deadly weapon that can erode someone's destiny. Lack of the knowledge of God makes us act ignorantly. The knowledge from God's word is what guarantees victory. You have to know what your identity in Christ is.

Our true nature before salvation is the flesh. The moment you accepted Jesus as your saviour, we became spirit-being. Your salvation doesn't reduce who you are, it makes you dominant. You are birth out of God's will. As believers, we don't die we transition from earthly to eternity. Understanding makes one to be outstanding amongst others. It is what you know and understand that sets you apart from the crowd. Our essence of existence is not because of flesh. God transferred his gene into us so what cannot trouble God should not be able to trouble us. You need to walk and understand your new identity in Christ. What makes us as children of God to be dreaded by the devil is the God in us. The God in you is far exceeding than all the demons and devils in the world. Be conscious of your new identity in Christ!

What it means to be ignorant - to be ignorant is lack of knowledge. Without knowledge you cannot go far in life. In the absence of knowledge, there can't be understanding. You need to know what you carry on the inside. You have so much power in you. When you know who you are and who dwells in you, you start living victoriously. Two masters cannot stay under the same rules only the strong one can rule and that is the Holy Spirit.

Reason why believers are ignorant of who they are? Because they are unaware of their new creation reality. There is no way you can get knowledge if you don't read the book of God. If you refuse to read it, you have planned to fail, but when you read, you become outstanding.

Ignorance is a poison that can stripe you naked!

Acts of the Holy Spirit

By Reverend Victor Adeyemi

"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city." - Acts 8:5-8 (KJV)

Bible Reading: 1 Peter 2:24, Revelations 5:6, Romans 1:16

We need to be conscious of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. When you carry the Holy Spirit, you carry the power of God within you. When you carry the Holy Spirit, you become a testimony and an anointed vessel.

The principal key to the Acts of the Holy Spirit is not just power consciousness but faith. When you believe and speak in the name of Jesus, you speak under the his authority. You become a problem solver for those around you. When you put your faith in His authority, you become a vessel of honour and a channel of his power.

God used Paul to perform several miracles and wonders. It was not though his natural ability but by the power of God on Paul's life that he was able to lay hands on the sick and they received their healing. It was by the name of Jesus.

The name of Jesus is a leveler. If you believe, you can speak in the name of Jesus and be used to perform wonders. It doesn't matter if you are a pastor or a new convert. When you have the Holy Spirit, you will experience Dunamis - the explosive power of God.

Don't let your insecurities affect you from being used by God. Have confidence and faith in His word, His name and His Spirit. As a child of God, you are allowed to speak in the language of the Spirit. You have been given authority by God, the father, over kingdoms of darkness, demons, natural substances, sickness, poverty, depression and death. You have authority with Christ. You have authority in the name of Jesus.

Impartation For Success/Exploits

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"And it came to pass, when the Lord was about to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. Then Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel. Now the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” And he said, “Yes, I know; keep silent!” Then Elijah said to him, “Elisha, stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Jericho.” But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they came to Jericho. Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” So he answered, “Yes, I know; keep silent!” Then Elijah said to him, “Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to the Jordan.” But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So the two of them went on. And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan. Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground. And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over. Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him." - 2 Kings 2:1-15 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Romans 4: 21 - 23

God is not a respecter of prayer but principles. He is always faithful on his path. Impartation involves making a secret known or giving a warrant. Without impartation (knowledge), you will be stranded.

The spirit of the God's word is what you need to move on and do exploits. The spirit imparts us with all we need to succeed. It is more than just listening to sermons or bible teachings, you need the spirit to fill you up as you go. The spirit gives you your mantle.

Why people don't get their mantles:

  • They are too conscious of what others will think or say.

  • They are not ready to step out of their convenience or comfort zones

  • They want to stick to the way things are i.e. tradition

  • They don't believe they have what it takes

Remember that success is not about money, it is about peace. Only the spirit can guarantee you such. You need to be willing to stay connected to God's word and befilled with His spirit if you want to succeed.

Steps for Impartation:

  • Have the desire for it

  • Be diligent in all that you do. Stop looking for a place to be, look for a position to establish yourself.

  • Stay connected to God's word and to fellow believers.

  • Stay away from all forms of distraction.

  • Focus on the supernatural i.e. fix your eyes in things unseen. Walk by faith.

  • Be desperate for a relationship with God.

  • Get rid of all hindrances.

  • Be patient, your turn/time will eventually come.
