Biblical principles of sowing seeds

One of the ways to achieve success is by sowing seed. A seed sown is a spiritual transaction between you and God for your replenishment and lifting.

Reasons why people don’t receive reward is because:

1. It came in what you needed the most not what you thought you needed the most. The issue is that when the harvest come, not many of us go back to ask God what seed it is for. You can’t have understanding without wisdom. God is in the business of answering our prayers and we do not know it.

2. We sow grudgingly. Once you dsow with grudge, don’t expect the grace of God to come upon you. You are supposed to sow with gladness.

3. We are not sowing exactly what God says we should sow. Once you don’t sow exactly what God says, you do not get what you want. God is not a respecter of persons. Whatever God says you should do, do it! What is God saying to you?

4. We are not sowing sacrificially. Whatever is not a sacrifice, is not acceptable.

5. We did not sow our best. Once you don’t sow your best, don’t expect his best. When God gave us Jesus, he gave us his best & when he gave us the Holy Spirit, he gave us his all. Never think you can donate to God.

6. We sow in jealousy. Let your offering be out of love, not jealousy.

7. We only sow once. Every opportunity to sow, is not an opportunity to withhold but to sow because you don’t know which one will bring reward.

8. Our cloud is not yet full. Once your cloud is full, rain must fall. Every time you give a seed, it’s an evaporation that goes up to heaven.

9. We regard the cloud, that is; we pay attention to what we reap. Our focus is more on the cloud and not the joy of the seed. When you observe the cloud, you don’t reap.

10. We don’t have the mind like the 3 Hebrew kids.

11. We give in doubts, not in faith.

12. We did not obey promptly. When God says something, do it!

13. Sow because you love God. When you do, you will reap in ways you never imagined. You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving. Give God lovingly.

14. We did not sow on fertile ground.

15. We sowed and the devil planted and it affected the harvest.

16. We sowed and did not tie it to anything. Sow expecting something.

17. We try to negotiate our seed with God and we end up not sowing all.

18. Once we sowed, some of us went to dig where we sowed by what we do or say. Be careful what you say concerning your seed. Be careful with your attitude to God. Don’t sow a seed and go back to living a life of sin and expect a reward.

19. Some refuse to sow because they observe the wind rather than obey God.

Principles of Elevation: Thinking

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you." - Proverbs 23: 7

Bible Readings: Philippians 4:8, Proverbs 4:8; 15: 18, Ecclesiastes 10: 15, Jeremiah 29:11, 2 Corinthians 10: 4-5, Daniel 2:17, Joshua 1:8, 1 John 4: 18, Romans 12:11

What we think determines who we are and who we are determines what we do. Our actions are a product of our thoughts. Our thoughts determines our destiny and our destiny determines our legacy. You are today where your thoughts have brought you and you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.

People who go to the top think differently from others. Nothing limits achievement like small thinking and nothing expands possibilities like enhanced thinking. People who think, don't sink. Thinking is synonymous to elevation. Only people who see themselves going far, think far. Thinking influences your behavior and your response to situations.

You should dedicated time to thinking well about yourself and your vision. If God knows the thoughts he has for you, what thoughts do you have towards yourself?

Some people think they are thinking but they are actually worrying. The different is thinking is productive, worrying is not. You need to think to be productive.

When you think, ask yourself 'why' and ponder on things that are edifying. Those who know 'how' will have a job but those who know 'why' are be the bosses. Anyone that can think deeply can see a rock and see possibilities. If you can think, you can see. Thinkers solve problems, they never lack ideas and are successful.

To think productively, allow God's word to illuminate your mind, speak in tongues, keep your mind engaged and fixed on things that are edifying, associate with positive and productive thinkers, think positively, creatively and progressively and let your thoughts be guided by the Holy Spirit

Fear, anger, negative environments, depression, idleness, laziness and slothfulness are enemies of productive thinking. Don't let these vices influence your thought pattern. Instead think strategically, writing down ideas, asking quality questions, research and marinate on your thoughts.

Principles of Elevation: Working

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them." Deuteronomy 28: 12-13 (NKJV).

Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 26: 18-19, Deuteronomy 28: 3-12, Proverbs 22: 29, Proverbs 10: 4, Proverbs 6: 6-11, Psalms 1: 1-3, John 5: 17, 2 Thessalonians 3: 10, John 9: 4, Galatians 6: 9.

Life is just like a university. However, in this university, examinations occurs on a daily basis and you cannot go on to the next level unless you pass your examinations. No one warns you before these examinations, you must be ready at any time.

Those who overcome the trials and challenges of this world through Christ will make it to heaven; and this is totally up to you. You must follow certain principles for you to pass the examinations, in this life. To be elevated, you must be principled.

There are seven principles of elevation. They include working, giving, thinking, trusting, waiting, talking and thanksgiving. These are principles that you must follow to be elevated.

Working is very important. You must work if you do not want to be poor. Poverty is an act of becoming. Nobody is born poor but they become poor depending on how they live their life.

Don't just work hard, work smartly. Hard work incubated by smart work and the Holy Ghost is what gets you elevated. God prospers the doers not the sitters. Remember that anything that you did not get by hard work will eventually disappear. Stop wishing and start working.

There are three levels of working: hardworking, tireless working and creative working. A combination of these three gets you where God wants you to be. God wants you to succeed and be elevated. Work hard, tirelessly and creatively at it.
