Exercising Your Faith

Bottom right Scheme.jpg

by Pastor Andrew Bawa

"So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)

Bible Reading: Romans 12:3, John 12:24, Daniel 3:8, 1 Timothy 6:12

Don't expect God to use you, if you aren't active. Imagine Matthew, who left what he was doing (tax collection) to follow Jesus - who had no where to lay his head - that is faith! Matthew had faith in Christ but Christ met him while he was active.

There is a measure of faith. To Jesus, faith is a mustard seed. Until you apply your seed , it is useless. You may have faith and things wouldn't still work out for you. You have to exercise your faith to see results. Your faith is useless and full of potential until it is planted.

Many of us have faith like a mustard seed but we are stuck at that. Your faith is not meant to be shelved but planted. Your faith is not meant to be stored but stirred up. Being lazy prevents you from stirring up your faith.

Faith is not a thing you have done, it is something you keep doing. Give your faith an assignment. Until you apply your faith, you can never know what you carry. Until you speak by faith, your faith isn't planted. Nothing happens until you do the work. When you speak, people may not see it but when the result comes out, people see it. Keep speaking by faith.

No matter how adverse the conditions of the soil may be, a mustard seed strives. When a mustard seed germinates, it produces:
⁃    Antiseptics: physical, spiritual, emotional and financial healing for those around you.
⁃    Abrasives: puts your life at ease
⁃    Detergent: makes you feel brand new

Faith without works is dead. Put your faith into action. Exercise your faith!

Takeover Generation

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him." - Joshua 6:1-5 (KJV)

Bible Reading: Psalm 31:8, Isaiah 1:19, Jeremiah 3:15

To be a part of the takeover generation, you need to have a takeover mentality. To take over, you have to employ some strategies; one of which is silence.

The seventh day stands for perfection. It stands for rest. The devil doesn't want us to get to our rest because if we get there, he has lost. The devil doesn't like losing that is why he is always trying; he doesn't give up easily.

Seventh day is relative. It is different for everyone. It is good to be silent before your seventh day because sometimes when you talk, you end up talking out of fear and not faith.  Act in silence.

God's principles are universal. You obey it anywhere you find yourself and it will work for you. You cannot disobey the principles and expect the blessings. You reap the fruit of what you say.

God's desire for you is the best of the land but you don't get it if you don't obey the principles. One of those principles is to stand still! Remain silent, don't speak negatively. Don't react to everything. Don't be too swift with your tongue otherwise you might end up closing doors to your destiny.

The reason why your miracle has not come forth is because you have not gone round the walls of that problem. Instead you are calculating its content. God can pay you so much that you will not even remember your past sufferings.

When you are going round, focus on you! Every time you are going round, go round with your pastor. Follow his instructions. You have to know how to wake up early and go around the walls and wait for God to pull that wall down. When you have gone round your wall, why talk about it again? You can't go round the wall, still talk about it and be expecting the walls to fall down.

Stop frowning. Stop moving backwards with your negative speech. All that you have been going through is preparing you for a shout of praise that no hell can stand. But you can't shout until you have fulfilled your rounds. If you shout too early, the walls doesn't come down.

Go round those walls, shout praises to God and watch him make you part of His takeover generation!
