Achieving success: Achieving your dream

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh." Genesis 41: 14 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Acts 27, Acts 28.

When you fulfill heavens dream for your life, you are successful. Success is the realization for God's dream for your life. What had God showed you? You achieving this shows you are successful.  Success is only for those who dream. People who change the world are dreamers. What is your dream right now? Without dream you can't fulfil the purpose God has put in your life. When you hear the word two it means God wants it to happen in your life. When was the last time you dreamt? What have you dreamt about? Are you dreaming? The reason you are hated is not because of your personality but because of the dream you carry.

Dream is very important to your future. You have carried you dream for too long it is now time for a manifestation. Who are you hanging around with? Are you around dreamer? When they speak what do they say? If you are at a place and your dream can't be celebrated keep quiet. If you have a dream all you need is to be around dream encouragers. The challenge is when you have a dream and the other person does not have a dream. Whatever you see from the dream is supposed to be manifested.

Your dream is not about your external circumstance it is about the internal. Your circumstance does not matter all that matter is the success of achieving your dream.

Where are you going? How far are you willing to go? When you carry something you can't die before your time. When you attack something you can't attract it.

The reality of the dream stoped Joseph from sinning. Do not kill your dream with sin. Your dream should be important enough to keep you away from sin. When people commit sin they have no dream. It does not matt what you are going through as long as you have a dream you'll pull through.

Whatever has kept you back is sending for you.

A dreamer knows how to interpret a dream. If you do not have a dream anyone can decide to give you their own. Whoever has forgotten you the lord will place a dream that they will remember you.

You can't give you now you have come too far. Do not let anyone tell you, you can't achieve or arrive. What kind of face are you carrying all around. To fulfil that dream shave it.  Psalm 105:19.

The time of the fulfilment of your dream is now.

Strategies for success: The blessing

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it." Proverbs 10: 22 (NKJV)

Bible Readings:  Luke 5: 4-5, Genesis 12: 1-3, Galatians 3: 29, Genesis 24: 4, Malachi 2: 7-12, Hebrews 7: 1-7, Ephesians 6: 1-2, 1 Peter 2: 17, Genesis 18.

To succeed, you need heaven's approval. Blessing also means grace. It is that divine unmerited favour. Wise people look for blessings before doing anything. The blessing is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful. The blessings is what makes you wealthy. Whatever you want to do, seek for the blessing. Many people are not getting the blessings because they are not doing the right things.

There is a difference between blessings said from the lips and from the soul. You have to do some things to provokes the blessings. They include;

⁃ Tithe: When you know how to tithe, things will be easy for you.

⁃ Sacrificial offering: Be a sacrificial giver. If you can be a dangerous giver, you'll receive dangerously.

⁃ Kingdom offering: Anything that will advance the kingdom, be ready to do it. Be responsive to the things of God.

⁃ Kingdom assignment: Soul winning!

⁃ Honour: It is key. To live long, you must honour. If you want to go higher, you must honour people. Honour is valuing people.

⁃ Humility: Be humble!

⁃ Thanksgiving: Attitude of gratitude opens more pores of blessing.

Strategies for success: Take action

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighbouring places in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates." Deuteronomy 1: 6-7 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Deuteronomy 2: 3, Psalms 100: 2, Psalms 23: 5, John 5, John 9: 4, 2 Thessalonians 3: 10, Psalms 22: 29, John 6: 12.

Man finds himself going around in circles. You are doing the same thing ove and over again. We begin to rely on fate (luck). Success is intentional. You keep going in circles and you don't make any advancement. Going by this your activity does not match your allocation. As long as you keep going in circles you get no where. Are you getting the results you should get? What you get by luck, disappears luckily.

Roaming is wandering aimlessly with no focus. It is doing something and having no focus. Is your routine leading you to good success? A day is all that matters. You can tell where a person will end up by their way of life, the choices they make and the friends they keep. Success is a choice and poverty is also a choice. You can't make horrible choices and expect a miracle. Only a fool does the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

A breakthrough cannot occur when you refuse to break away. Success is all about sacrifice. Activity doesn't equal action. Sweating doesn't make you successful. Stop giving flimsy excuses. All you need is God on your side. Taking action without making progress doesn't lead you to your destination. How is what you are doing right now, moving you to your goal? Where are you headed?

Stop going around and start going forward. Stop procrastinating. Stop living a pitiable life. Success is not in talking. Many people say they are waiting on God whereas, God is waiting for them. After you have done all, stand.

Stop talking about what you want to do and take acton on what you are called to do!

Strategies for success: Faith

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11: 6 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Romans 12: 3, Matthew 15, Hebrews 11: 1, Mark 11: 22, Proverbs 16: 9, Daniel 11: 32.

Success is your birthright but you need faith to access it.

Faith is that connect grace and power that links you to make whatever you are wired to, to come to pass. The purchasing power to get the blessings and promises of God is faith. To succeed, all you need is faith. Faith is simple! It is trust in God. Have the God kind of faith. Have the trust that is of God. Trust your maker and creator. When you trust God, it means you have faith in God. It doesn't take God anything to change situations. All you have to is trust him that he can do whatever you want. You can't throw God and go back to him when you like. God wants total and absolute dependence on him. You cannot lie to God. He sees your heart.

If you have lost something, God is the reason why you have not lost everything. People don't know how to trust God. You cannot use your physical strength and common sense, and expect God to answer. It takes faith to believe that Jesus has saved you.

The reason why you have not received that blessing from God is because you don't trust him. You can only trust someone you know. So to trust God, you have to know him. The reason why you are not getting things from God is because you don't know him in that area. The reason why you don't trust God is because you don't know him enough.

What part of God do you know? You can know him by a relationship in the place of the word and in the place of prayer.

Strategies for success: Focus

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3: 13-14 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Acts 21: 12.

We live in a generation where everybody wants to get into someone else's business. A generation where people want people in their business. The world is not interested in what is going on in your life, but you somehow let the world know. It's hard for people to stay out of your business if you invite them in. If you want to succeed in life, you must stay out of everybody's business and mind yours. Focus takes you from your vision and translates it to mission and that takes you to the mountain top.

Without focus, you are never going to make it. You have to forget about everything and focus. A lot of people are focused on tomorrow that they don't do anything today and they end up never seeing the tomorrow. Success is not luck but focus! If you want to be a star, you must be focused enough on that star without letting any other thing distract you. Whatever you want to achieve, you must be focused if not, you can never achieve it.

Lack of focus, makes you a failure. If you focus on so many things at the same time, the best you can be is average. Stay at your duty post! A lot of people will distract you and make you look down on what you want to do.

If you have discovered your assignment, that is called vision. If you are pursing your assignment, that is called mission. If you are not distracted from your assignment, that is called focus.

When you are focused

⁃ Don't be discouraged

⁃ Don't worry about the storms

⁃ Until you fulfil your destiny, nothing can destroy you.

⁃ Delay is never denial

⁃ Lord, give me grace to be focused.

Strategies for success: Stretch

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible. Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her." Luke 1: 36-38 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Luke 1: 56, Hebrews 5: 14, John 1: 1-3.

To succeed you have to stretch.

There is a price to pay for every greatness and success. Success comes with a maturity. Success is an all around blessing.

To grow to the level God wants you to get to, you must exercise. You have to learn to exercise through the word of God. Anytime you don't exercise, you can easily be injured or hurt. Have you ever stretched yourself in the spirit? What is the price you are willing to pay to not be hurt and be in shape? When God sent you here, he dint send you to be a failure. You are a winner, a success, you are more than a conqueror. It doesn't matter what you are called, God has made you a success.

If God can do it for one, he will do it for another. If you see it in the word, it will manifest in your world. It is time for you to stretch. Success will stretch you to do things that you are not used to. Certain things, until you experience it, you can't become it. God wants you to go where success lies. Wherever great people meet, there is a connection. Success locates its connection. In the inside of you, you carry greatness and the only reason why it hasn't come out, is because you haven't stretched.

Strategies for success: Pursuing his presence

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3: 2-3 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: John 3: 1-6, Luke 4: 17, Psalms 82: 6, Matthew 28: 10.

Laws are universal. Principles are spiritual laws.

To be successful, you must pursue God's presence. Life doesn't give you what you desire, it gives you who you are. Life doesn't give you what you desire, it gives you what you place a demand for. Before you can get what someone else gets, you have to understand what they have. When you become who you are meant to be, you will do what you need to do. The only person in they bible that is a success is Jesus. You can't be successful if you don't follow Jesus.

The presence of God brings transformation. It's all about the womb of life of where you are but a time comes when you are supposed to move to another womb. You can't be doing the same thing over and over again and expect something different. It's about the being. No matter how much you try to cover it, it will come out.

The number one thing to do to be successful is to seek first the kingdom of God and all other things will be added. Look for the source. Go to his presence. You have to become like him. When you do that, you will know who he is and whose you are. If you carry his nature, you are permitted to be like him and get what he gets. The reason why you are not getting what you desire is because instead of going for the source, you are going for the substance. If you come to church for the wrong reasons, you will not be successful.

If you see yourself how God sees you, then you can do what you are supposed to do. Some have failed to do what they are supposed to do because they have refused to see whose they are. If you know that you carry the DNA of God, you can do what he does. If you are what Jesus is, then you will get what he gets.

Success is not about material things but about inner fulfilment.

Strategies for success: Pursuing the purpose of God for your life

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, But a man of understanding will draw it out." Proverbs 20:5 (NKJV).

You are built and designed for worship. You live to worship God.

Purpose is the why of you. You can't be successful without finding your purpose in life: your nature of why you exist. Life is meaningless because people are not living in the why of their life. Some people are doing what other people are doing and expect God to answer them. We expect God to pay for what he is not sending us to do. When you follow his purpose his presence goes with us everywhere. When you are not in your why, you begin to do the how. If you don't deploy yourself to living your purpose, someone will employ you.

- You are naturally built with your purpose in you. You have to discover what you are suppose to do.

- You are designed for your purpose in mind. It is not about your size, it is about your destiny. When you understand your why, you'll stop following other peoples' why.

- Your purpose is embedded in your potential. God does not send someone to accomplish a thing without strength to do it. What you can do is in your purpose.

- Purpose reveals God's purpose for your life. You have to know whose purpose the plan you are living now, is fulfilling.

- His purpose attracts his provision. You cannot expect God to provide when you are working in a different purpose. If you want God's provision, stay in his purpose for your life.

Discover your purpose from the word of God.

Strategies for success: Marked out for success

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 2 (NKJV)

Bible Readings:  1 Thessalonians 5: 23, Proverbs 23: 27, Proverbs 18: 21, Proverbs 6: 2, Job 22: 21.

People want to be successful but they don't know it's not about the physical appearance.

When success shows up, you will know it. It's not based on what you do or how you are dressed. You success is not based on your location but your allocation. Success is a state of who you are. It is your nature, your DNA.

You have to understand that you are a success even before you were born. Your soul has already been programmed to succeed. It doesn't matter what your present state is.

Success is not in doing but in becoming. It's better you believe it and become it because whether you like it or not, you are already successful. You become whatever you are thinking. Whatever you call is what you get.

Change your perspective. Relocate your mindset.

A man's worth is not in what he gathers but who he is. Stop being myopic in yourself.  Success is whose you are! If you change the way you see yourself, people will change the way they see you.

Strategies for success: The cost for success

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; for by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety. Wisdom is too lofty for a fool; he does not open his mouth in the gate." Proverbs 24: 3-7 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Proverbs 24: 10, Luke 14: 25-33, Deuteronomy 18: 20.

Success comes with a cost. It comes with a price you have to pay. Success is fame, wealth, achievements, impact, family, fulfilment, riches, health. It is an achievement of a certain or desired goal. If you don't have a desired goal, even if you achieve it, you actually haven't achieved anything. Success is what God has designed or placed for you to achieve.

Success has nothing to do with what you acquire but your assignment. You need wisdom to acquire success. Anybody who is wise is successful. If you want to become like the master, you must become an apprentice to learn the way it is done.

Jesus said if you want to be successful (like him), you must take up your cross and follow him. To be successful in life, get ready for battle. A life of success is not an easy one. There are several things that follow a person who will be successful. Success can never be attained when you are looking back.

There are 7 things you must kiss goodbye to be successful;

⁃ Family: because a man's enemies are his families. Your family will always tell you how little you are. They belittle you. Until you finish your assignment and achieve something, kiss your family goodbye. There is wickedness of the wicked in your family.

⁃ Friends: the reason why you haven't risen to where you should be is because you refused to leave your friends.

⁃ Familiarity: the places you know. You must leave your area. You must step out by faith into something that is not familiar.

⁃ Fantasy: you knowing you can't achieve something but yet you want to do it. Get something achievable.

⁃ Love of fame: some people who are famous are not successful. Being famous doesn't mean you are successful.

⁃ Fear: if you want to step out, step out by faith.

⁃ Offences: if you want to be successful in life, people will offend you but you must be willing to love.

⁃ Grace to kiss this things goodbye, father give to me.

⁃ Grace to pat every price in life, father give it to me.

The Unity of Faith

By Pastor Drew Ugbogbo

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4: 11-13 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Genesis 1: 26, 1 John 5: 7-8, Amos 3: 3, Matthew 18: 13, Mark 2: 1-2, Deuteronomy 28: 1, Deuteronomy 28: 13, Matthew 13: 11-17, Psalms 2: 8.

The unity of faith is vital and important to God. Without unity, it is impossible. A lot of believers don't have confidants. A lot of believers touches and agree and nothing happens because there is no unity of faith amongst them. Unity of faith makes room for team work. Come together and begin to make things happen, and to achieve what can't be achieve alone. There is no room at the bottom for you. God has set you above only and it doesn't have anything to do with when you feel like.

What can be achieved through the unity of faith (relevance to succeed in life):

⁃ Alliance: Christians pray and fast and forget to apply God's principles to succeed. What you can't achieve alone is made possible by the right association. Most believers are afraid of taking risks, they are afraid of the unknown.

⁃ A well defined goal: Let the mission and the vision be well defined. Don't go into anything blind.

⁃ Join forces with others: There are things that you don't know your partners would. There are areas in your life that you are deformed and paralyzed and God sends you destiny helpers.

⁃ You must have some level of trust in your partners: The devil attacks while you are still in the preliminary state. If you fall into this trap, you fail.

⁃ Be determined to succeed no matter what: Never loose focus on why you started out. Be determined to succeed no matter the obstacles. Always focus your attention on the end result.

⁃ Don't give up on your set out goals because end result is always very satisfying: Don't be discouraged. The world is not interested in the process of how you get to your success, they are only interested in the physical manifestation of the success.

Jesus did not die for a disjointed or deformed body of Christ. As long as the body of Christ continues to celebrate little successes/victories, they can't comprehend the full thing. They shouldn't expect the world to see the complete work of Christ. Christ did not come for individual achievements.

We can only takeover as a generation if we come together in unity.

⁃ Lord open my eyes to the right association.

⁃ Father I want to be reunited with you.

⁃ Lord I enter into partnership with you afresh.

Principles of Elevation: Working

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them." Deuteronomy 28: 12-13 (NKJV).

Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 26: 18-19, Deuteronomy 28: 3-12, Proverbs 22: 29, Proverbs 10: 4, Proverbs 6: 6-11, Psalms 1: 1-3, John 5: 17, 2 Thessalonians 3: 10, John 9: 4, Galatians 6: 9.

Life is just like a university. However, in this university, examinations occurs on a daily basis and you cannot go on to the next level unless you pass your examinations. No one warns you before these examinations, you must be ready at any time.

Those who overcome the trials and challenges of this world through Christ will make it to heaven; and this is totally up to you. You must follow certain principles for you to pass the examinations, in this life. To be elevated, you must be principled.

There are seven principles of elevation. They include working, giving, thinking, trusting, waiting, talking and thanksgiving. These are principles that you must follow to be elevated.

Working is very important. You must work if you do not want to be poor. Poverty is an act of becoming. Nobody is born poor but they become poor depending on how they live their life.

Don't just work hard, work smartly. Hard work incubated by smart work and the Holy Ghost is what gets you elevated. God prospers the doers not the sitters. Remember that anything that you did not get by hard work will eventually disappear. Stop wishing and start working.

There are three levels of working: hardworking, tireless working and creative working. A combination of these three gets you where God wants you to be. God wants you to succeed and be elevated. Work hard, tirelessly and creatively at it.

Living by Design/The Ultimate Lifestyle

By Reverend George Adegboye

"So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death." - Romans 8:1-2

Bible Reading: Acts 2:17, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Romans 8, Hebrews 1:2, Psalm 17:15, John 14:30,  Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4, 2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 13:11, Hebrews 4:1, Isaiah 33:6, Deuteronomy 29:29, Mark 13:13, Romans 2:11, Psalms 84:11, Matthew 6:5, 1 Kings 3:5, 2 Chronicles 4:7, Acts 11:26, Romans 14:7-8, Galatians 5:25, Acts 23:1, Hebrews 10:38, Hebrews 13:18, Romans 12:18, John 17:16, Proverbs 23:4, Psalms 34:5, Proverbs 23:4, Psalms 34:5, Psalms 113:9, Romans 8:18, Psalms 42:5, Psalms 42:10, Psalms 55:22, Psalms 45:1, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 Samuel 17:5, 1 Samuel 17:11, 1 Samuel 17:24, Isaiah 41:10, Genesis 13:14, Joshua 1:3. Romans 8:38-39, Psalms 26:12, James 1:17, John 3:27, Haggai 2:8

The Word of God can be studied in seven different ways:

    ⁃    Word Study
    ⁃    Verse Study
    ⁃    Paragraph Study
    ⁃    Book Study
    ⁃    Chapter Study
⁃    Topical study: Focuses on specific topics in the Bible such as Tithe, first fruit, deliverance, etc.
⁃    Biographical study: Focuses on specific personalities in the Bible such as Joshua, Cain, etc.

Many people don't know how to live. Existence is not living, living is the quality of existence. There is a certain way God has designed for us to live.

Jesus' life is a window to how God wants us to live. He came to the earth show us the kind of life He wants us to live. God wants us to live the kind of life that will attract His blessings. Our state of being is what attracts the blessings of God.

How are you living your life? If you keep living the wrong way, you will keep getting the wrong results. For a change of result, live differently. You should live the way Jesus lived. Your faith should be a way of life not a religion.

  • By the the word of God: Let God's Word be the manual of your life.
  • By seeking God continually: God's personality attracts the best of the best. You must be living life the best way He wants you to attract his blessings.  The life you live must be the life God wants.

Are you living life to the fullest? The country you are live in doesn't determine the quality of your life. The extent to which you know God and your connection to heaven determines the quality of your life.

Remember that you cannot allow the forces of the world dictate how you live your life. When you live the way you ought to, you live a healthy life. Raise the standard of your living from your idea to God's idea.

You must live a life without:

  • Condemnation: Let your faith in your salvation work for you. Christ died for you and has saved you. You are not condemned.
  • Domination: You have been set free. The word of God has set you free, do not let ignorance enslave you. As a child of God, there is no power, force, principality, or situation that has control over your life.
  • Desperation: Don't live hopelessly. It is not over until it is over and it is not over yet. When you give up, you are saying there is no God.  Don't ever give up. When your energy as a man finishes, that's when God steps in. You have not heard the last about of your situation until God speaks over it.
  • Miscalculation: God never makes a mistake. He takes the mistakes you make and fits them into His plan for us.  Anything God allows in your life will eventually work out for your good. Even when you make mistakes, tell God to turn it around. Don't let one mistake make you feel like you are done for. Don't live a life of despair.
  • Intimidation: There is no reason to fear because God is always on your side. Don't live a life of fear. Live boldly.
  • Limitation: You determine how far you will go. Don't limit yourself by making small plans or aspirations. When you see how big God is, you will realize that limiting him is a sin. As you desire, God builds. Live without limitation
  • Separation:  Don't let anything separate you from God. God does not just order our steps but also our stops; that means you must build a close relationship with Him such He is in complete control of your life.

God loves you. He wants you to live the life he has designed for you. He wants you to be elevated.

Elevation: Focus

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world." - Deuteronomy 28:1

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 2:8, 3 John 1:2, Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 22:29, 2 Peter 1, Hebrew 6:11, James 1:17, Mark 4:23

Starting a task isn't as important as actually finishing it. Even if you face challenges on the way, you must muster the strength and courage to keep going. Like John Maxwell said, "even when you fail, you should fail forward"

God's plan for you is not to be beneath but to be above only. As a child of God, you should always experience elevation. That is God's purpose for you: to exceed expectations and finish the work for which he created you.

Nevertheless, you must commit yourself to three specific requirements from God. You must be diligent, focused and obedient to God.

Diligence: To get to the top, you must be very diligent with your tasks. When you find your purpose and calling, pursue it persistently and patiently.

Focus: The key to your elevation is more than working hard, you must remain focused.  When you are focused; you will not be easily distracted, discouraged or delayed.

Obedience: There is a blessing in being obedient. Being blessed means you are elevated and taken to a higher level. God cherishes those who obey him swiftly.

Remember it is not the color but the content of the balloon that determines how high it goes. Your content determines the extent of your elevation. What you do and how you do it determines your elevation.

Roadmap to Success 3: Meditation

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

Bible Reading: Psalm 1:2, Isaiah 55:8, Romans 12:2, Ecclesiastes 7:1, Matthew 15:13, Job 3:25, Psalm 27:4, 1 John 4:18, Mark 4:23, Matthew 5:16

To be successful, you must meditate. Your thoughts determine your speech and your meditations determine your behaviors.

By meditating, we allow our souls and inner minds to be treated and well taken care of.  As spiritual beings, we need to be aware and mindful of how we treat our souls. Meditation heals our soul and mind.

To meditate is to reflect. When you meditate, you tune into heaven's frequency and God shares his thoughts with you. Meditation removes all distraction and puts you in direct contact with God.

Meditation renews your mind and causes it to focus on God's plans for you. It changes how you think and behave. It spurs you on and unleashes your creative energy.  It helps you to take control of your mind by removing negative thoughts.

When you think, think positively. Free your mind and remove all limitations, anger, fears, negativity, hatred, insecurities, regrets and guilt. Let the meditations of your heart be acceptable unto God.

Roadmap to Success 2

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." - Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

Bible Reading: Romans 12:2

It's one thing for doors to open up for you, it's another thing for you to step in. It is not enough to be spiritual, you have to be intellectual. You have to use your intellects to grab opportunities as they come. Success is not accidental.

Your mind has to be reformed to experience transformation. You need to study to show yourself approved. Read more. When you read/study, your reference point should be God's Word. The most important book you need to read is the Bible. After the bible, you need to immerse yourself in books that will advance your career and mindset.

When you read, you'll become resourceful. You'll know what ways to go and what ways not to. You'll know how to trace, calculate and re-calibrate your steps. You'll know how long it will take you to get to your destination.

Reading is a very important principle of success and our God is a God of principles.

Roadmap to Success

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." - Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

Our background affects the way we see things. It makes everything relative. The measure of success is relative.

To Joshua, success meant being a good leader to the children of Israel, settling disputes within and between tribes, conquering their enemies and helping the Israelites settle in a new land. To you, success might mean money, fame, children, getting your landed documents, good grades, graduation, winning souls for God, being debt free or getting married.

Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose so how can you measure success when you don't know your purpose? Whenever a purpose of thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. If you know why you purpose of working on something, you would know if it's worth it or not. Success, not money, bring fulfillment.

The cross was the Jesus' goal. For Him, that was success. Operate on the level of your success or dream. A car doesn't move like a bicycle.

Have you discovered your purpose?  Until you know where you are, you cannot know where you are going to. If you discover your purpose, you'll stop living somebody else's dream. Work hard for your own dream and be patient about it.

How will you know your purpose? Ask  yourself What ticks you off or on, what are you passionate about, what do you love doing, what do you hate? If you do not like something, why don't you work hard to change it? Why can't you be the solution? That thing you do not like or agree with may be your purpose for you being there at that time.

Keep in mind that you can never be successful without looking into God's word. You can't be successful without reading the bible. Your purpose is hidden in the bible.

Back to the Basics 2

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue." - Daniel 11:32-34 (NKJV)

Success encompasses wisdom, power and wealth. Wisdom is the sucessful combination of insight to influence others. Power involves gaining strategic advantage over others. Wealth is the accumulation and control of resources. These three make up success.

Knowledge is everything. The more you know, the more you can command. Exposure is the price you have to pay to do exploits. How can you be a master if you don't know enough?

The secret of success is knowing your God. If you are connected to God, you are connected to success. To know your God, you must know his word. You must study his word diligently, meditate on it and apply it to every thing you do. Seek to know and not to be known.

To Know Your God:

  • Have an encounter with Him.
  • Receive revelations through His word. (Acts 20:22)
  • Commune with Him via prayers and worship.

Impartation For Success/Exploits

By Pastor Andrew Bawa

"And it came to pass, when the Lord was about to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. Then Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel. Now the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” And he said, “Yes, I know; keep silent!” Then Elijah said to him, “Elisha, stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Jericho.” But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they came to Jericho. Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” So he answered, “Yes, I know; keep silent!” Then Elijah said to him, “Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to the Jordan.” But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So the two of them went on. And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan. Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground. And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over. Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him." - 2 Kings 2:1-15 (NKJV)

Bible Readings: Romans 4: 21 - 23

God is not a respecter of prayer but principles. He is always faithful on his path. Impartation involves making a secret known or giving a warrant. Without impartation (knowledge), you will be stranded.

The spirit of the God's word is what you need to move on and do exploits. The spirit imparts us with all we need to succeed. It is more than just listening to sermons or bible teachings, you need the spirit to fill you up as you go. The spirit gives you your mantle.

Why people don't get their mantles:

  • They are too conscious of what others will think or say.

  • They are not ready to step out of their convenience or comfort zones

  • They want to stick to the way things are i.e. tradition

  • They don't believe they have what it takes

Remember that success is not about money, it is about peace. Only the spirit can guarantee you such. You need to be willing to stay connected to God's word and befilled with His spirit if you want to succeed.

Steps for Impartation:

  • Have the desire for it

  • Be diligent in all that you do. Stop looking for a place to be, look for a position to establish yourself.

  • Stay connected to God's word and to fellow believers.

  • Stay away from all forms of distraction.

  • Focus on the supernatural i.e. fix your eyes in things unseen. Walk by faith.

  • Be desperate for a relationship with God.

  • Get rid of all hindrances.

  • Be patient, your turn/time will eventually come.
